Chester 1906! Edwardian 18ct Gold Ruby & Diamond Boat Ring

SKU. 2 | ID. 1319

£725

A beautifully refined Antique Edwardian Ruby and Diamond Boat Ring, crafted in rich 18ct Yellow Gold and fully hallmarked in Chester in 1906.

This elegant five-stone design features alternating natural rubies and old-cut diamonds set within a sleek elongated navette-shaped setting. The softly tapering gold form gives the ring a wonderfully fluid appearance, while the low-profile setting makes it exceptionally comfortable and easy to wear every day.

The vivid rubies provide rich flashes of deep pinkish-red colour, beautifully contrasted by the soft sparkle of the old-cut diamonds nestled between them. The smooth polished gold mounting frames the stones perfectly, giving the ring a refined and distinctly antique character.

Crafted in solid 18ct Yellow Gold, the ring weighs 3.4 grams and retains it’s crisp original hallmarks including the Makers Mark S.Bros for Sydenham Brothers who had premises on Tenby Street in Birmingham. The elegant proportions and elongated shape flatter the finger beautifully and give the piece a sophisticated silhouette that still feels remarkably modern more than a century later.

Edwardian boat rings remain highly sought after for their timeless styling and understated elegance. Examples hallmarked in Chester are especially collectible today, with the assay office renowned for producing some of the finest English Jewellery of the period.

This is a timeless and highly wearable Edwardian gemstone ring with beautiful antique charm and exceptional everyday appeal. It is currently a Size Q 1/2.
