9ct Yellow Gold Trombone Albert Chain, Birmingham 1992

This chain features alternating elongated links that measure approximately 5mm in width that are connected using three oval links. It is also fitted with a T-bar that measures 41mm in length that has a ring connected just under its centre that can be used to add a favourite pendant, medal or antique fob.

The chain measures 16 inches in length and weighs a substantial 23.2 grams. It has a lovely presence around the neck and is secured using its original swivel clasp.

Unlike many of our much earlier Alberts, this example carries a Birmingham hallmark for 1992, making it an interesting later interpretation of a design that has remained desirable for well over a century. It also bears the Makers Mark PJ who we unfortunately can’t find any further information on.
