Antique 9ct Rose Gold Trombone Albert Chain

The chain is formed from alternating long trombone links and beautifully twisted connecting links. The longer links measure approximately 5.5mm wide and are individually stamped, although, as you would expect with a piece of this age, some of these marks have softened through years of wear.

The original 34.5mm T-bar is attached on a short drop and hangs approximately 1 inch below the chain. Better still, the T-bar is removable, so it can be taken off and repositioned using either the swivel or bolt ring. This makes the chain wonderfully versatile, you can wear it simply on its own, position the T-bar prominently at the front, or use the clasps to build your own combination of antique charms and fobs.

At 28.5 grams, it has a satisfying weight while the elongated open links keep the design elegant rather than overly heavy. It measures 16 inches in length making this is a particularly wearable length for styling as a necklace. One end is finished with a bolt ring, while the other features a hallmarked swivel clasp, giving plenty of scope for adding a favourite antique pendant, fob or medal.
