1974 Krugerrand - 1oz Investment Gold Coin
A beautifully preserved 1974 Krugerrand. Struck in 22ct gold by the South African Mint, this is a 1oz Investment Gold coin from one of the most recognised bullion series in the world.
Weighing 33.93 grams in total with a pure gold content of 31.10 grams (one troy ounce), the coin shows the iconic Springbok reverse and the bust of Paul Kruger on the obverse.
Condition is exceptional for a piece over fifty years old, with the strike still sharp and surfaces clean.
Krugerrands are legal tender in South Africa but not in the UK, so they do not qualify for the UK CGT exemption available on Sovereigns and Britannias. They remain VAT-free under HMRC investment gold rules and are one of the most liquid bullion coins on the global market.
